Description
The Lantech I(P)ES-0008B is a high performance all 8 10/100TX industrial Ethernet switch with w/8/6 PoE 802.3af/at ports. It is a compact Ethernet switch featuring a PoE budget of up to 240W (PoE model) and dual power input options ranging from 9-56VDC. The dual input design is capable of withstanding EMI/RFI interference in the onboard or industrial harden network. The galvanic isolation feature shields the system from power transients often present in onboard and outdoor networks. It also meets the requirements of ISO7637. Additionally, the -E model can be used in extreme environments with a wide operating temperature range. The Lantech I(P)ES-0008C is designed for Ethernet switch systems in rail, metro, vehicle, or hardened industrial applications.
Hardened Industrial Design with Dual Power Inputs and Enhanced Protection
The unit provides EFT and ESD protection, which can reduce unstable situation caused by power line and Ethernet. It has high reliability and robustness coping with extensive EMI/RFI phenomenon, environmental vibration and shocks usually found in Automation, transportation, Wireless backhaul, Semi-conductor factory and assembly lines. The unit is also designed with dual redundant power inputs supporting 9~36VDC (24V PoE), 44~56VDC (48V PoE), 9~56VDC (12V PoE), 9~60VDC (12V non-PoE) or 9~36VDC (24V non-PoE). Other features include:
- Galvanic isolation between power input and Ethernet power system
- ±2000V EFT and ±6000V ESD protection
- E-marking certificate for vehicle application (24VDC model)
- Wide temperature range of -40°C~75°C / -40°F~167°F (-E model)
- EN62368 safety compliance
- Compliance with stability testing for IEC 60068-2-27 & IEC 60068-2-31 (Shock) as well as IEC 60068-2-64 & IEC 60068-2-80 (Vibration)
PoE Functionality
This switch supports a PoE budget of up to 240W at 48V input, 120W at 24V input and 80W a 12V input, and includes the following PoE aspects:
- 10/100TX: 8 ports RJ-45 with Auto MDI/MDI-X function
- Power & P-Fail connector: 1 x 6-pole terminal block
- Power-saving PoE configuration when ignition is enabled
- Up to 30W per port
- Compliant with 802.3 af/at standard
