The New ARM based VMC220

The Nexcom VMC220 is the ideal mobile computing for a number of industry segments such as material handling, port logistics, waste and recycling trucks, fleet management and factory automation.

 

The unit is an 8” all-in-one robust vehicle mount computer rated to IP65 / IK08 sealing levels and compliant with MIL-STD-810G. This unit features a 1000 nits sunlight readable display and PCAP touch.

 

The VMC220 is powered the latest NXP i.MX8M Quad processor, and has System Ready-IR certification in progress and can run both Android and Linux operating.

 

Like all Nexcom fixed vehicle computers the unit features full ignition smarts with ON/OFF time variable battery guard and a wide 9-60v input. Standard build includes Ublox GPS, 4GB RAM 32GB eMMC; upgrade features on request include secondary storage via M.2, WLAN and WWAN wireless modules, an RFID module plus an optional 20min battery back up to enable safe OS shutdown.

 

The VMC220 is rich in I/O featuring multiple USB and RS232 ports and GPIO and can support 4 x analogue cameras. There is also an optional backup battery to enable safe system shutdown when power in removed by internal CANBUS systems.
