The unit is 5G-enabled to support live streaming video, making real time video communications from multiple camera feeds with command and control a reality for the first time.

Like all Nexcom Vehicle computers the unit is designed specifically for the harsh automotive environments passing MIL-STD-810G guarantees of shock and vibration. An all-aluminium extruded chassis combined with the use of innovation heat pipe technology ensures fanless operation across a wide temperature range

The latest CPU technology

Powered by the Intel Core™ i7-9700TE, the VTC 7252-7C4IP can support simultaneous real-time monitoring on multiple IP cameras powered from 4 x PoE 802.3af/at ports. The cockpit monitoring, working along with the vehicle safety system or as a standalone function, helps detect and alert the driver when status of drowsiness or distraction is detected.

5G-ready smart patrol

The rollout of the 5G network also opens up new applications in mobile surveillance. For example, early adopters of such technology in law enforcement authorities have experience positive results. Built-in GPS provides accurate AVL data in real time, this can be upgraded to dead reckoning GPS should the environment contain challenging urban canyons such as tall buildings or road tunnels.

Edge Computing Options

The VTC 7252-7C4IP is also fully compatible with a number of accelerator cards, such as Google Coral or Intel® Movidius™ Myriad™ X, allowing image analysis at the edge without having to rely on cloud processing.
