We would like to share a brief update to support your planning and procurement activities.
Industry reporting continues to highlight volatility in the global memory market. Ongoing supplier capacity adjustments and sustained demand from AI and data centres are contributing to pricing pressure and extended lead times for DRAM and NAND products. We have seen increases of up to 500% on our DRAM range.
As Reuters noted, “Samsung co-CEO TM Roh described the shortage as ‘unprecedented,’ echoing peers who have warned that constraints could persist for months, if not years, as the race to build AI infrastructure consumes supply.”

In parallel, extended lead times remain in place across several Intel processor families. These conditions are being communicated through the supply chain and continue to impact availability for embedded and industrial computing platforms, particularly for long lifecycle products.
As Intel CFO David Zinsner noted, “supply has tightened materially, and capacity constraints have limited our ability to fully meet demand in the third quarter for both data centre and client products.” (as reported by CRN)

Tekdis is working closely with our memory partner at Transcend to help manage these conditions and support continuity of supply.
We can help with mitigation options, including blanket purchase orders, scheduled deliveries, and planning. We can also review alternatives where suitable.
If you have upcoming projects or forecasts that may be affected, we recommend engaging with your Tekdis account manager early so we can plan proactively.
