Tekdis is pleased to share the latest stainless steel development from APLEX Technology Inc. APLEX has launched the new NuTAM stainless steel series designed for hygienic and demanding industrial environments. Leading the range is the NuTAM 9E, a stainless steel fanless touch panel PC that draws on the strengths of earlier APLEX platforms and brings them together in a refined and modern design. Powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, the NuTAM 9E delivers strong performance and efficiency for heavy-duty industrial use.
High Performance, Stable Computing and Flexibility
The NuTAM 9E is offered in 15, 17 and 21.5-inch TFT LCD sizes and runs on Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 processors. Built on Intel 4 compute tile technology, Core Ultra introduces a hybrid architecture of Performance cores and Efficient cores, combining CPU, Intel Arc GPU and NPU functions. This supports high-performance graphics workloads, intelligent data processing and real-time AI applications while maintaining responsive multitasking and efficient overall operation.
For memory and storage, the NuTAM 9E supports DDR5 5600 MHz 262-pin SO DIMM up to 48 GB, plus one M.2 2280 M Key PCIe x4 slot and one 2.5-inch SATA III bay for flexible storage expansion. The I/O layout includes two USB 2.0 ports, one COM port and one 2.5 GbE LAN port, with optional blanks available to add two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen1 port, one 2.5 GbE LAN port, one COM port and one HDMI port. All connectors include waterproof caps and chains for long-term durability.
Wireless support includes Wi Fi 6E, Bluetooth, LTE and 5G modules via M.2 slots. Optional RFID and an 8 MP camera module are available to reduce cabling and streamline operation.
Durability in Demanding Environments
The NuTAM 9E blends the design strengths of the APLEX PhanTAM and ViTAM series. It features an edge-to-edge front bezel with a flat and seamless surface that keeps the unit lightweight and modern. It offers full IP66 and IP69K protection against water and dust, handling high-pressure water jets up to 100 bars at 80 degrees Celsius. The system is also equipped with reinforced antenna covers and M12 connectors to prevent bending damage and water entry. Optional IP67 extension cables and adapters are available for harsh site conditions.
Built with SUS304 or SUS316 stainless steel and rated for temperatures from minus 20 to 60 degrees Celsius, the NuTAM 9E is ideal for industries where hygiene is critical, such as food and beverage, chemical processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Along with high computing capability, the design improves heat dissipation, reduces weight and simplifies cleaning and maintenance. This makes it a strong stainless steel option for any hygienic industrial application.
